Match Report
Christ's Hospital 1st XV vs  Abingdon School
On: Tuesday, 04 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

CH travelled to the National Plate QF match knowing that they would need to play 10 times better than they did last Saturday at Churcher's.

It was obvious from the warm up that boys were nervous or maybe a little overawed by Abingdon's very impressive facilities.

The side retained possession from their kick off very well but the CH defence stood firm. Once on the attack Abingdon struggled to cope with the incisive running of Matthew Attalah and Sam Odu so he came as no surprise when CH opened the scoring...….through Jonathan Feyibunmi!

Abingdon struck back straight away and it seemed it would be a see-saw type match but this was not the case as CH took total control. A couple more tries, including an excellently executed backs play, meant the score line at half time was 24-12

A rousing half time team talk from the skipper saw CH weather the remaining minutes of a YC and also score another try for themselves. As the half progressed CH demonstrated clinical finishing to rack up a very impressive away win.
